D-BALL2 for Remote Start questions....

So watching this video last night.....

Shows a person adding a device called DBall-2 (made by Directed DEI) and a harness to splice into the factory system. Voila.... Remote start.

This uses the CURRENT remotes and all you have to do is hit the lock 3X.

I suppose its making use of the AP8 option.


I looked up the what you would need for our trucks.

XK2 Software uploader/flasher




So my question is this...... Since DEI will not let a normal customer download the flash software from their site xpresskit.com.... How can one get it?

Or am I wrong, and they will let you download it?

Any certified installers here with a active DEI account.... or any other recommendations.

Just putting it out there, as there are many other poor people who don't have a fancy LT3 or LTZ....

Different brand of what I posted up, I think mine was omega if I remember correctly. Unit still works and GF uses everyday at least once. I think I gave $90 for everything for her car.
