Okay..I know this is petty but the button that controls the temperature is messed up from the previous owner. I haven't gone to the dealer yet but I thought someone may have dealt with this problem or could tell me a part number or a heads up on the dash disassembly?

That's a good idea but I just can't have it not match...I'm trying to avoid the dealer at all costs cause you know that gonna run $300 for labor.

It matches but then again it was just my power button...I wouldn't want any of the others that way. It is just a flat black button now, but hey, it was like $2 to not have that green light at night.

Also used that paint to touch up my wiper blade arms.

i don't have a fix for you but this seems to be veryyy common. I looked at a lot of used tahoe's before purchasing mine and at least 2 of them had this, either on the up/down arrows for A/C fan speed, or on the temp buttons. Also drove a friends rental and it had the same thing. When i was at the dealer looking at the used ones i asked if i bought it if they could fix that and they actually told me there wasn't anything they could do about it, so i walked out lol

That's ridiculous! A couple of them that I looked at before I got mine had the same problem. It really almost made me get a KR F-150 instead, I just think it shouldn't happen and don't know why GM has these small pesky problems all the time.

I can't imagine the installation being too hard, I definitely would not pay $300! I did some research and I think you have to replace the whole module. I don't think the individual buttons are for sale. But here is another thread on the same thing: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18426

One member said to shoot this guy an email: [email protected] He supposedly has the best price on the module. Good luck!

Mine did the same thing but somehow my warranty covered it. Pretty shocked since you can't replace the buttons and have to replace the the whole A/C.

I brought my 07 Tahoe w 34k miles to the dealer to get the dash replaced about 3 months ago and I mentioned the AC recirc button paint missing and they replaced the control head, the front inner door handles and the upper dash pad with $0 out of pocket and I dont have extended warranty.
