dashboard cup holder

Whats up guys please dont laugh lol but im having a problem. I dont know how to remove the cup holder that slides out on the dashboard. My truck is a 1996 GMC Yukon, thanks... :Stupid Me:

There are three bolts that hold it in place, two on bottom side of the front of it and then you slide it out and there is one bolt in the back there which you'll need an extension and wobble adapter to get out. then it just slides out

There is a plastic 1/2" knob that keeps it in. You can reach it from below and twist it 90 degrees with a flathead screwdriver. Then it just slides out.

You might have to loosen up the dash trim below the cupholder, I don't remember exactly.

Yeah, heading to the junkyard this weekend if its not raining to get some leather. :)

I guess thats how you remove it and leave the slide track? I removed mine the way I described two days ago. haha

Yes, the bottom trim piece can be gently pulled away on the left side below the cup holder. Then you can slide a wide blade screwdriver into the post in the picture above and turn it 90 degrees. The cup holder assembly will then slide out. At least this is what happened with my 95 Suburban. Thanks to Dylan for his original post and picture. Very helpful.
