So I had one of the DDM ballasts go bad in the first few days and at the same time it popped the fuse for the DRL. Ballast is replaced and I am thinking of just leaving the fuse out. Is there any negative side effects to this?

unknown at this time.
that might be a little to much for drl relay and fuse to handle. used a fused relay that is triggered by the drl relay or headlight wiring that will power the parking light circuit.

btw :welcome:

No fog lights on truck = pull DRL fuse.... no neg effects.
Fog lights on truck = Disconnect wire plug to DRL diode.... no neg. effects.
(DRL diode is under dash, just above gas pedal...has heatsink w/fins on it)
