So a couple of months ago I went out to remove the badges and moldings off the yukon. Well the very first "yukon" badge i take off which is on the drivers side is where the problem starts. Apparently the front door and possibly the back door have been painted before and the badge was left on and taped off. I assume the molding was left on also. Had I known this, i would of had them repainted when i painted the front fender and hood.

Anyway, the "yukon" impression is too deep to wet sand it out. Is there anyway that i could tape it off and spray some clear on there and then go back and wet sand it down? I am afraid I wouldn't be able to get the "tape lines" out.

I was afraid of that. Thought about having some decals made so it would at least be something different, but dont know how that would look.

I had the same thing on my Impala. Someone decided to get lazy and paint around it. Ughh....Tried polish and what not, nothing worked so I just put the OEM emblem

I tried wet sanding but it was about to break through the clear and it was still very noticeable. Guess i will just have to keep them for now.

How about painting the badges the same color as the truck and putting back on

Sweet's idea is a good one. Otherwise blueflames is correct. A repaint and blend of the area is in order.
