Are you guys debadging the tailgate of your trucks? I can't decide how it will look on the nnbs... I had my 01 Tahoe debadged and loved it. I guess I should just grow some and do it, I can always put them back on if need be.
I just haven't seen too many nnbs trucks running around debadged i guess.

If you wanna know what a NNBS tailgate looks like debadged, here's a pic of mine. I also swapped the Tahoe lift gate applique out for a Denali one and added an Esky 3rd to match the Esky tails and appliques, but its not pictured here. Here's a pic:

To give you an idea here is what it looks like including taken off that stupid plastic window "handle"

RearClose.jpg

In order to actually remove the bowtie too you'll want to either get a Yukon appliqué or fill in the guide holes that are behind the bowtie and paint it.

Hope this helps!

 this is a throw back :jester:

Let me update that pic with this one at least. Neither are of high quality, though :insane:This was also right before I had paint correction done. Those swirls make me cringe LOL

I still need to black out the huge chevy emblem on mine, but here is a shot of the back of mine with the text removed.

07Burb, the back of our trucks look very similar. Here's a current pic of mine.

I agree :) I don't know about you but I'm itching to delete that rear wiper!

Same here! I wanna delete the rear wiper and the liftgate handle (the part where the switch is), like FiatDale. It looks SO clean on his truck. Beautiful!

Even just removing the rear wiper and leaving the little mounting stub would look good until I decide to have a body shop properly shave it. I removed it once before when installing the Yukon applique and it looked good, just needs some kinda black cap to cover the mounting hub for the blade so it looks like its supposed to be there or at least cleaner. Like something that would snap over it to hide it temporarily.

ETA: I forgot about the little rubber piece where the blade rests when parked. Have to shave that piece, too.

Can the mounting hub be removed?

Size a cap plug correctly (if there is one) and push that in its place. At least until filling it in.

Yes, it can. I believe it comes out as part of the wiper motor itself. That's a cleaner temporary solution than what I mentioned. Good thinking.
