Im in FL Haks. I think im going to try to use the adhesive remover from 3m. I'd like to find it locally instead of ordering it though.

This is great information.

I thought I was holding the strip-off wheel on too long until I tested it by being very careful. It didn't matter if i hit it for a second or 3, still burned it.

I'm going to try some of the solutions suggested and get back with you.

The hoes at the tint shop getting some new, darker tint on her. All the work is getting me closer and closer to all black!!!!!. I need some black rims now. Whatcha think of these?

What type of drill were you using?

Those would look really nice if they didn't have all those rivets around it.

Wow, what kind of drill were you using? Must have been some serious RPMs.

Damn, that would be quite a ride wouldn't it.

Local auto supply store should carry it, if not a local automotive paint shop. I would try the latter first though.

Yeah, I like the style but not the silver rivets either. It reminds me a little of a stock chevy rim. I'll find the style.

I used something similar to this

i let mine sit in the hot sun and rolled the tape off with my thumb (two nice blisters) but it got the job done. took about an hour for the whole process.

I've used the wheel but couldn't find it at the time. (worked well on a different vehicle)
wasn't impressed with the 3M stripper.

I used a hair dryer to heat up the glue, put some goo-gone on it and let it sit for a couple minutes, then scratched residue off with my finger nail. washed and wax area twice looks like the emblem were never there.

You did not go over the recommended RPMs, correct? It is 2500RPMs max or something like that.

Damn only thing would be you putting too much pressure but I doubt that. You just need to barely touch the adhesive wit the wheel and it will come right off.
