Update:
Salesguy called me today and said he would work on the price, and get me out the door for $11K even. WOW!

I asked if he understood that I offered $7500, and then pulled the offer entirely.

"I thought this was just part of the negotiation?"

No, and suggested that the clean Carfax was worthless. Gov't doesn't need to report anything.

Looks like I found an '04 Tahoe 4x4 with 64K, dealer maintained with service records for just under $13K.

Should be able to pick it up on Friday.

I might consider it if I could get it for $5k out the door depending on an inspection to see if the frame/suspension is damaged including an alignment check. Otherwise, pass.
