tast101, mine is exacly like yours...I debadged mine and left the side chrome....
fishing line, heat gun and 3M adhesive remover spray. Then buffed it....golden

Yea I guess I'll leave the chrome on the side, it helps accent it I guess. But the Yukon and and GMC are coming off around summer time or maybe this weekend if I detail the truck.
My tahoe is a 2000 All that is left is the side molding, My worry is that if I remove it will not color match because it is a 9 yr old truck and the PO didnt take very good care if it. Any thoughts?

I was woried about mine too bro, mine is only an 03 but has sat outside and the owner before me did not take care of it at all, I have removed all of the badges and molding is soon to follow, I had no issues at all. Hit it with the compound of your choice after then wax and it'll be fine.

Yea all you gotta do is polish and wax your truck and it'll help with the discoloration if there is any.
Well two tone paint is in the works the truck came from OR so ive started to notice some rot under the tailgate handle, Ive spent over a year now replacing and improving this thing, still love it though

Just out of curiosity, will this process also work on the smaller Denali badge on the front doors of a 2006 Denali xl? Don't want to do any damage if those won't come off.

I used a soft plastic bondo scraper, heat gun and brake clean on a shop towel
