Right now i have an 01 tahoe i have been tossing around the idea of buying/trading for a suburban or bigger suv. Been looking at any suburban from 1988 to 2004.
Looking at 1 with 6.5
A few older ones with 5.7s
And of course the newer ones with the 5.3

If you were in my shoes and looking for a dependable family/hunting truck which direction would you go. I have a 90 suburban that i loved, but the guy will not sell it. fba1c8180aa41e13cfa22ccf0fc10892.jpg

The correct answer is ALWAYS Suburban. I've had a '96, an '02, and my current '07. Couple of the things that sold me on them are the ride (smoother than the Tahoe because LWB) and space behind the 3rd row (or even the complete lack of a 3rd row in OBS Tahoes).

If you can swing a GMT900 Burb, I highly recommend them. My '13 is light years ahead of my '97 hoe and '06 TrailBlazer.

Suburban all the way. Had many of them growing up. 3 boys on road trips and camping everywhere was worth the room then and the same thing with 2 kids of my own and the wife can fill that thing like a storage unit. The LWB for ride and extra cargo room is worth it all day long. My .02.
