I have a 2003 Yukon SLT that I am considering upgrading to HID. To do so, I know that I need to get the projector housing. Will the Denali projector housing fit on the SLT? If not, what is a suggestion for what will fit my model without going with the halo/ import look that I see when I do a search (ebay or whatever) for projector housings?

Follow-up: After I find the housings for the HID, is all I need the HID kit and I'm good? I've seen the kits at DDM and am considering those, but it seems like I might be missing something there.

I've tried searching the forum for these, but I've spent so much time looking through threads that my brain is just hurting right now.

Any help is much appreciated.

And just to clarify, by "kit", the $35 HID kit (35w or 55w) is all i need?
Then just aim them and I'm done? Seems way too easy...

yes...thats all you need

if you wanna get the $35 kit...I dont know how well they hold up...but people on here seem to like that....

I paid $150 for my low beams...and $150 for my fog lights...and I havent had any issues with mine...but that was a few months before these $35 kits were available

It should be that easy. It's kind of crazy, actually. You can get decent HID kits for less then the cost of "high-quality" halogen bulbs now.

I`m interested in getting some denali projector housings too. does anyone know where to find an O.E. set besides a dealer? I already have some DDM HID`s installed but i`d rather go with O.E. rather than aftermarket projectors.

Look on craigs list, there were I found mine. I got both lights for around $175, way cheaper than the aftermarket types.

Sasquatch--Remember that your Yukon SLT may use a 9006 bulb size for the low and the denali OEM projectors may use a 9005 bulb size for its low. (it may differ from year to year).

Also when you istall your HID bulb make sure that the return wire on the bulb faces downward when you place into housing. By doing this it helps give more light and too, it won't cast a shadow within the housing.
