Hello,
I am, as the title states a new guy to this forum. I was hoping I could get a little advice from some of you who are more informed than myself.

I have an 08 denali xl which will be getting a mcgaughys 2/3 drop kit installed very soon, I have also purchased a hellwig rear sway bar for the vehicle which brings me to the main question I have.

Does the new sway bar require shorter or offset end links (DJM?) for clearance? I have heard that once the truck sits lower that the sway bar has to be moved over slightly to maintain clearance.

Any help you pro's can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Just a side note, this has to be one of the coolest forums on the internet, and I absolutly love this truck.

Thanks, the new guy.

i have an 08 tahoe ltz (autoride) and have been told you only need diff. endlinks if you drop more than 4 in. or so ,which you can't go more than 3.5 if you plan on keeping autoride.

thank you

Thanks, I was not sure if the amount of drop made a difference so I appreciate the advice. I guess it is good that I am only going 3 down in the rear.

Do you think aftermarket end links will have stiffer/firmer bushings in them? Maybe this would increase the effectiveness of the hellwig bar?

Thanks again for the help, this forum is a great source of information.

i just did the eibach rear sway bar and am very pleased with it. i think poly bushings are def. better than factory for anything. they might slightly help, prob not noticeable ,but should last longer than factory bushings. i plan on replacing front sway bar bushings as well. i was thinking about the Mc 2/3 kit but with Mc 2in drop spindles and the 2.5 to 3.5 belltech rear drop kit i can get that extra .5 drop so it sits a little more level.

update

Just wanted to say thanks to all who gave me advice on lowering kits and sway bars.
I installed my mcg's 2/3 drop kit and the hellwig rear swaybar along with poly bushings all round and I could not be happier with the result.
The truck handles so mush better than stock and the ride quality is great.
The truck truck looks so much better than before, even on stock 20's.
Thanks again, you guys rock.
