Yes! I've seen so many online reviews saying that this compartment doesn't make sense. It's clearly for sunglasses!

I can't imagine it being for anything else. Deep and padded... there isn't a sunglass holder in the overhead (at least on my premiere).

I don't have a clue either. I feel like I am missing out on something! Maybe the Yukon's don't have this magic cubby hole everyone speaks so fondly of :/

Yeah, I am sorry, I had no idea what you were talking about. Now I know why, if this is the compartment you're referring to, then it's not there on the Denali (I had to look it up in the manual) ...

I'll bet a Pico .380 would fit in there. Stuff the end of the compartment with bubble wrap so you don't have to fish it out in an emergency.
