Difference between 00-02 & 03-06 Esky vent caps?

Is there any difference between the 00-02 Esky vent caps and the 03-06's? I recently put a set on my 06 Nali and noticed the lines don't quite match up to the car's body lines. Even my husband noticed, which is saying a lot. He asked if they were pushed in all the way. I look at others' pics and they seem to line up perfectly. So I'm wondering if I got an older set that may be slightly different than the newer ones. Idk, but it bugs me that they don't line up completely flush.

Got pics? Would be nice to know. Google won't show anything for info. I got 03 appliques and they fit my 05 fine. Little hard to push in the 3 clips but lighty pounding it with my fist got them in

There are no differences between the years on the vent caps. The reason it doesn't quite match up is because the top of the esky vent caps bow out just slightly to match the contoured shape of the esky third brake light. Your 06 nali's plastic trim piece on your hatch doesn't have the light so it sits flat and sits slightly lower than that bowed out angle on the esky vent caps. Mine was the same way before I swapped to the esky third tail light set up.

Thanks guys. I didn't figure there were any differences, but wanted to make sure. For all I know, the oem vent caps didn't line up as perfectly as I'd like, and I just never paid that much attention. Until now. Lol. Nothing like doing a mod to make you pay attention to the finer details.

Hard to tell in her pics but they could be of an nnbs. If the gaskets under the whole side rail are all one piece than they are NNBS. That's hoe my new NNBS set is. When I had the 2003 racks on my truck, the ends of the gaskets under the end caps were seperate pieces that screwed into the main gasket under the side rail.

are you talking about the roof racks or the end vent covers in between third row window and tailgate glass? I didn't know she had the wrong parts for either one?!
