Our local Costco has the Michelin X LT A/S tires on sale. 275 / 55R20's $150 off a set.

What is the difference between the Defender LTX M/S and the above. I have looked at the Michelin site and it may be that the X LT A/S tires are the same as the Defenders, just marketed thru Costco. That was the salesman pitch anyway and Michelin doesn't really say.

Any experience out there on this issue?

The tires at the Clubs and Walmart are made to Their Specs not that of the manufacturer company. The X series in michelin are their Club series tires. The other stuff is oe Michelin. Like the Viva Goodyear from walmart or their american eagle are theirs. Only warrantyable from said retailer not corporate Goodyear. I worked for Goodyear for almost 10 years.

If you stop the membership at Costco is the warranty still in effect?
