Anyone ever explode a carrier? I thought I chewed up the spider gears, but when I opened the cover, big chucks of iron dropped out. Can the bolt from the pin cause that, if it backed itself out?

Thanks,
Corey

while you are in there now just replace it with a Eaton Detroit, then all you may experience is some worn bearings sometime down the road, cost's a little more but it pays off in the long run.

Don't those like to oversteer if you're accelerating in a turn though?
I have never had problem, I just know I broke 2 factory g80's and then a different one I don't remember the name it was a $400 unit halfway decent but it broke too, put in the Detroit it didn't break but after 2 years I did wear the bearing's down, I was pretty severe on the NBS
