Neither a spool nor a mini-spool are meant for the street. Just stick with an LSD or a locker unless you plan on your trucking being an all out drag car.

I don't even have a mini-spool on my Mustang...I just run a Traction-Lock locking diff... It holds strong even when launching off my drag slicks or doing burnouts with the slicks.

I HATE driving with lockers.. because they just kinda do their own thing and will lock in a corner out of no where one day.. and not the next..

A spool.. is basically like a single straight axle when its done.. technically fusing the 2 together into a single rolling unit..

Bad sides of a spool.. is since its always locked.. it WILL chirp on EVERY corner and has the potential of bending axles of the tires have too much traction and the corner is too sharp.

The good side of a spool is not having to wonder if its gonna lock up or not...
