Sounds to me like your dealer is trying to squeeze some money out of you.
There are not different harnesses across the nnbs years.
My moms 07 switch works in my 11' tahoe and vice versa.
Crank will be supplying you with everything needed except the passenger switch which Ian has. It will take you less than hour to do both sides.

I am going to try and pull one of the switches this weekend and check wire colors per Crank's suggestion. In the meanwhile, if the harnesses do end up having to be replaced we have one custom shop saying they can handle that. I also received a PM from an acquaintance on a sports forum I frequent and he says he has a guy that can do it. I have already let Crank know that it looks like we will be buying his mirrors and master switch.

Sumo, looks like I will need your passenger switch. Can you send me a PM with the details?

Thanks guys. Whatever it takes to make mama happy!

Hey guys, looks like this thing is FINALLY going to work out. Yeehaw!

After trying to work with our local dealer and two different custom shops, my wife (NanaNita) found a more cooperative (i.e. helpful) dealer that indicated a willingness to help. She took her Tahoe to him this morning, he took a look and said yes he can and will make it work (and at a reasonable price) with the mirrors and master switch from CrankCase. The local dealer said they would not install used parts. The helpful dealer, Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe TX, said that's not a problem as long as they were OEM parts. He also confirmed no additional wiring harness would be required. The only wrinkle he mentioned was the possibility that her BCM would not accept the programming needed to work with the power-fold mirrors in which case they would have to replace the BCM. But from what I have learned from CrankCase and others, that should not be the case.

Anita loves her Tahoe but she's been kinda down as it was starting to look like it wasn't going to work out until this morning and everything changed. So we are making arrangements with CrankCase to get his mirrors and switch en route to us.

Sumo - I will need your passenger side switch. Will PM you with contact info.

Thanks to all, especially Jason (CrankCase) with whom I have exchanged quite a few messages and information since this all started. You guys rock!

sumo - I didn't receive a response from you but the dealer says the passenger door switch is not needed. So maybe Juniorss will take it off your hands?
