That is not the adaptive cruise control button. That is the button for the Forward Collision Alert. If equipped with adaptive cruise control, the button would be in the same spot, but with a slightly different illustration that shows one car following another, but not hitting the car in front.
My 2020 Tahoe Premier has adaptive cruise and that same illustration of the cars hitting.

Look at the label in the glove box and if y66 (iir) is listed then you should have it.

they stopped listing RPO code list's a few years back, now it's just a qr code that you have to decode with a phone camera or APP. the qr code is on the drivers door or pillar, there may be one in the glove box as well (maybe)
for those that have adaptive cruise, "some" also have the option to turn it off and use regular cruise, doing this is explained in the owners manual, but I believe it consist's of holding down the cruise button for a few seconds to disable automatic mode. check your manual to verify.

I'm going to look into this. I really hate it. I can turn off on my wife's accord. It's been off since I realized it'll just slow behind a car and not give a warning. Look down and you e been going the speed limit for the last, who knows how long. Who goes the speed limit anymore?!?!?

I have the same symbol on my Escalade steering wheel (2 cars crashing) and that adjusts my distance (short, medium, long) for my adaptive cruise control.
