Do you fully fill your tank or partial fill?

Full tank without topping off. Gas gauge doesn't work so I rely on DIC estimate of fuel used. Reset every fill up, low fuel light hits around 20-21 gal used. 6yrs now with no screw ups

This is the only thing I miss about my Ford. It would count miles to empty all the way to 0, and I guess I am lazy because I would have to get it below 10 miles before I filled up. Maybe I do it because it drives the wife crazy, I don't know...

Walking a couple of miles for fuel after getting caught in traffic in freezing rain cured me of that. I try to stay above 1/4 tank now.

The only time I don't fill it all the way is when I am redeeming the reward from my BP card, and am just too lazy to swipe my card for another gallon or two of gas.

This thread was quite amusing to read I must say. To others points, just fill it up already. Not like you're gonna waste it. Have never seen my gas light.....ever.

Depends on gas price. If i need gas and i know its goin down the next day. Ill throw $10 in. If it almost full and gas is going up the next day. I top it off. If im low and its not going to change, ill fill it up.

Fill it up when it hits 1/4.
A wise man once said: "It costs the same to run on the top half as the bottom. You'll always be prepared."
Plus its better for the pump keeping it cool. Over 215k on our old 2001 1500HD before we had to change original pump.

Here's a good one. In order to keep your level sending unit healthy you need to let it do a full sweep once in a while..

I live out in the boonies so if it is close to half way mark I fill up. Do not want to get caught with low/empty tank if something happens.

A few years ago some idiot drove his truck into the only bridge into town.

Everybody had to go the long way around for several weeks before it was fixed.
