wow really, i had no problems wiring up my radio without a module, so if you remove your radio completely your vehicle will not start? doesnt really make any sense but if it does happen then that sucks for you all

No it runs just fine without the radio. If I wire my dvd player harness straight into my factory harness the yukon doesnt start. It cranks but will not run. I unwire everything then bam starts like brand new.

The plug that plugs into the back of your dvd player would be your dvd players wiring harness. If you didnt use that then you used some sort of vodoo because you would have no wires coming from the back of your dvd player at all.

Walmart doesnt have the premium bose ones.

Touche! But you can find the Scosche model number for the premium bose, then Google the model number, choose "Shopping", then sort by price.

You can do the same thing w/Ebay also.

Well the dvd player is in. The wife and I went to the city today and I decided to stop being such a cheap ass and fork over the money for a brand new good one. It was worth it!

Get a picture Kelly.

And yes, the truck will not crank and stay running if your harness isn't connected to either a module like he's looking for, or a stock radio. It's the DATA wire that is trips and does this.

Will, did you "hard wire" your radio? If so, I'm not sure how you're doing that. The DATA wire should be from 2002+ IIRC.
