I hear what you're saying about being different than everyone else's, but wouldnt keeping them factory still be like most people's Tahoe? That's like saying don't debadge because everyone else does. Keeping it stock is every bit the same as doing the usual mods. IMO it's all about what appeals to you. Do what you think looks good to you, irregardless of what anyone else has done.

Not a big fan of the euro lights as well, but to each his own. Here are mine from X3. I like them a lot more than the stocks, and it doesnt bother me one bit that a million other people have the same because in the end, I still havent seen a Tahoe exactly with my setup.

I have (different) X3 tails, and they've held up really well this past year.

Thanks guys. Here is my problem.....I live in a very small little town south of Charlotte and the cops like to bust peoples balls about stuff. I know for a fact, if you have tinted tails, they will pull you over. It is against NC law and they will call you on it. The reason I picked these is because of the smoked look without it being RICEY looking with clear and bright ass red lights. I thought they looked kind of classy. Still haven't made my mind up yet.

Your truck looks real good man. And as for the taillights if you like em I would say do it. Me myself not a big fan of euro taillights maybe when I was 5 and my dad had a 90 454ss with one that looked like those.

Thanks Edgar, I appreciate it. I am leaning toward them to be honest. I saw a Trail Blazer SS with similar lights, they looked really sharp.

They make not look "ricey" once installed. I mean at this point they are really close together on a tight picture. Installed, they may look pretty sweet. As far as the law goes, I would better be safe than sorry. Are you sure tinted tails are against the law or do those guys, like certain small towns around me, just like to bust people's chops? Certain places around here, if you have hids and some rims, you instantly attract more attention.

The manager at Auto Zone, who is a really good guy, said altering the lights is illegal in NC. He had blacked out his tails on his Chevy truck and got pulled multiple times. He finally took it off to avoid the continued hassle. I am trying for a certain look, not tickets.

I can definitely understand that. Also, that brings a different problem. If you purchase the lights that you posted, couldn't they be "mistaken" as being altered? Might want to check and make sure before you pull the trigger on those.
