I bought a new 16 Tahoe LTZ with 22" wheels a little more than a month ago. I made the mistake of not test driving it and didn't know is that the ride would be so rough. It's been back to the dealership twice, had both the front struts/Mag ride replaced as well as the rear shocks and the tires road force balanced with little improvement. It was so bad we tool a 350 mile trip, my daughter has a fit bit and got 7500 steps just on the ride out! So I escalated it to Chevy customer service and was told no buyback. I'm frustrated and extremely disappointed. Does anyone else have this problem? Did you get it fixed? If so, how?
Thanks

I will never in my life understand how and why people buy vehicles without test driving them. Who the hell does that?!?!

That being said, the ride in my '15 Escalade (on 24s) is very firm, but I wouldn't call it rough or harsh. Though I've owned countless BMWs that were lowered on 19s or 20s, so my perception of a rough ride might be a little bias as a result. LOL.

I never test drrove my 2002 Denali prior to purchasing. I liked the way it looked so I figured I would get used to it. But I think the new ones especially with the 22's are a bit rough. You could swap out the wheels with a smaller size rim. That might help.

Yes, consider swapping out the wheels/tires, going to 20" with a larger aspect ratio on the tires.

Ditto. 22 inch rims equals a very short and stiff sidewall. There's very little flex. Tires are the first line of suspension on any vehicle. Pimp rims offer very little in terms of ride quality but oh sure they look cool...

I put Michelin LTX Defender tires on my 15 and fixed it. Rode great.

I do agree 20s would help

You will probably see a pretty good difference in dropping it down to 20s. Have you driven another one with 22s to compare? 20s?

I like the firm feel of my Denali with 22" rims. I don't think its rough at all. It does get a bit bumpy on rough roads but that's to be expected. The Denali is at the dealer and they gave me an 15' LT Tahoe with 22" on it. It has a softer ride to it comparing to the Denali. Too soft for my liking.
