Just got a temporary puppy. Hanging onto her while some friends work out a divorce. This is Gabby, a Boxer/ Rottweiler mix. Yes, she's a tank, and going on a diet, lol.

This is Ty. He's a lab mix. Not sure with what, and don't care. He's been a great friend for over 11 years. He's been all over the country with me, and has been to about 30 states so far. This picture is a few years old, but he hadn't changed much. He's been very goods with my wife's cat, and very careful with my son since he was born.

So today my Malamute had puppies. We got one out so far. Think maybe 3 or 4 more coming. This is little Kauai.

My girlfriend was at work and I was about to hop in the shower and all sudden heard her howling.

This is one of my Dad's dogs. He's a sweetheart, blind in one eye and on his last legs (literally, he can only use 3 of them). He's been hit by a truck, attacked by a beaver (he started it), logged hundreds of miles chasing trucks, quads, cows and horses and he's been in countless dog fights. But he still hobbles around, follows you anywhere and puts his stinky, slobbery face in your lap. He probably won't make it through the winter, but at 12 years old, I'd say he's lived a full life.

this post made me tear up a bit, at work nonetheless........I have a very soft spot for dogs (I gave my previous dog a $3k surgery, while I ate Ramen noodles for like a month)

with that said, here's my son Gizmo, a 2 1/2 year old ultimate blues pitbull:

He makes me tear up just looking at him. He's a good dog. He whines intermittently from the pain, which kills me. The vet told my Dad if a dog makes noise due to pain, that pain is unbearable. They never want you to know how bad they feel, they just want to be there with you at any cost. He should probably be put down, but my Dad doesn't have the heart.
