Dome light 2004 Chevy tahoe Z71

Just wondering if somebody knows why am I done lights will turn on when the door opens but then immediately turn off? I can often manipulate the light to stay on by opening the passenger rear door several times until the light stays on. Any advice would help thanks.

I've read it's the sensor in the door latch mechanism. Someone on here told me I could try spraying WD-40 in it but I never got around to it. My front passenger side does it a lot. Curious to see what others say.

AJAR SWITCH IS BUILT IN TO THE LOCK ACTUATOR. GM DOES NOT SELL SEPARATE, WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE ACTUATOR.

OKAY! The door locks are a pain in the ass to change so I'll live with it until the lock dies. That's coming from a perfectionist.
