Hello guys.

I recently purchased an '07 Yukon Denali. I've been driving it with no problems but today, I experienced an issue with my rear left door handle.

From the outside, the handle feels like it unclipped and moves freely (doesn't open door). If I pull it, it stays in that position when released. The good thing is that it still opens from the inside.

Any idea on what this might be? Is it a common problem? I just hope I don't have to replace the whole door handle and might have gotten unclipped somehow.

the pull rod came off the back of the door handle. It's been known to happen. Have to pull the door card and reattach it or the back of the door pull may have broken, it's plastic.

So basically pull the door panel off and reattach the pull rod?

If the back of the door pull broke, will I have to replace the whole assembly or do you guys know of a cheaper fix?

If it's broken, yes you'll just have to buy a new door handle they are pretty cheap considering.

If you search chrome door handle mod you can get the instructions in order to swap them, which is essentially the steps youd need to take.

Easy fix, just take interior door panel off and reconnect cable or rod.
