If you're planning on spending that kind of money you could get your hands on a nice stock 6.0L LS engine and get a 4l60E mildly built up to put behind it and a nice painless harness to wire it all up with a later model ecu.

Would still have a 4 speed trans and an very reliable and strong running LS engine, great for daily driving and plenty of power to satisfy your right foot

Putting an LS and tranny setup in my 94 with a new wiring harness, what kind of issues might I find with an old computer or will it be an easy plug in ?

You gotta change the computer to a newer one to run the 6.0. It won't just plug in.

A painless harness would be designed to plug into a later model computer. You might have some gauge issues but I can't imagine they would be extremely difficult to work through

You mind as well find a vehicle that came with an LS3 and pull that gauge cluster and put it into your truck. Besides those 94 gauges are ugly.

I totally agree. The motor upgrade is worth it in my opinion. If I want to keep her alive, this is the best way I can while having the power I want. For the gauges, that is an excellent idea.

With the LS3 motor I plan on installing in the near future, I'd like to know if the headers I'm planning to install with it would be the same ones for the stock 5.7 fitted for a 4WD 94 or something else ? I'm not sure if collectors will bolt up right. Help in this direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to plan every move before I commit to buying parts that don't fit.
