the DIC on my 2007 YUKON XL started flashing on and off and now it doesn't light up at all. All other functions and lights work. I've checked fuses and all are good. I think it has to be a loose connection in the wiring but I do not have the wiring diagram to know where to start and I DO NOT want to just tear out the whole dash if I do not have to. Searched the forums here and no final answers on how to fix.

Are the buttons for the DIC flashing or the gauges?

Neither the buttons nor the guages are flashing. The digits themselves on the DIC are out and flicker on from time to time. The buttons seem to works when the display is on so I assume the computer is still feeding the display. The light-up display is out almost all the time though.

You'll probably need to have a dealership look into it. Our 05 Sierra did the same thing and it was from the chipmunks deciding wire insulation from under the fuse box would make a good nest.

Anyone ever find a resolution to this? My 2007 Suburban started doing this as well. At first I thought it was the alternator, but when I took it off and had it tested everything was fine. Drivability is not effected at all, it's just the lights flash on and off.
