Driver Seat won't go up or down but has power

HI, I have a 2010 GMC Yukon and Im have probelems with the drive seat. It moves back and forward but wont go up or down. I can hear the motor turning on when I hit the control for it to move up or down but no go. can any one help me with this problem? any one else ever had this problem and can help fix?

I found that my seat (when I purchased it) was stuck in the down position...

When I pushed the up down button something moved but not the seat. I found that the screw mechanism was not moving... with a little help by force I now have full function of my seat.

I had same problem. Took seat out and found that the plastic gear broke. I got it to work,But can't go all the way up.
