Little magic wizard that lives in my dash tells me that "Suspension need service"

Any input as to what I need to check, or reset.....

Truck runs and drives as it should. Or is this one of those, please see your local GMC stealership items...

Could be many different causes.

Assuming you have auto leveling rear...

It could be the air compressor.
Air compressor dump valve.
Leaking rear shocks.
Suspension control module.
Compressor relay.
Blown ALC fuse.
Bad shocks.
Bad struts.

Do you see where I'm going with this...

You need a Tech 2 or some other high end scan tool to really diagnose this issue.

Or take it somewhere that has one.

Has any work been done to the vehicle lately?

Nothing on that end, I put a new belt and pulley's on her along with plugs and wires a couple of weeks ago. It does have auto level, I know the rear does, is there leveling on the front struts also?

No leveling up front, just electronic dampening struts.

yea I get that message everytime I start ours too. We have a bad compressor and bad rear shock badders. Our Denali still drives like a dream. If I pulled a trailer I would spend the $900 w/Rock Auto and fix it.

Got a buddy not to far away with a tech2, will do some more research to repair. I do tow quite a bit, 27 foot RV mostly. That's what the truck was put into the family for. Thanks for the quick info on my topic.

Keep us updated if you can. Being a range of possibilities, it could be helpful to us others with this warning on dash. Funny thing with mine (09 Denali) is its not every startup. Most but not all. Both rear airbags are taught. I do believe my compressor is done as it doesnt make any noises. My big question would be why sometimes its clear and other times why it has the warning. Truck rides great, no glaring issues. Recently passed inspection as well. was told all is well. I was thinking a sensor where it works sometimes and doesnt others. Unfortunately i have no access to a tech2 unless i go to a garage.

I had this issue on my '07 for a while but the rear bladders and pump were working fine at that time. Turned out to be slight corrosion on the electrical connector on top of the driver's side front shock. A little electrical contact cleaner and the problem was solved. FWIW. 210K and they're still originals up front. Go figure.

Can you just unplug these and spray and reinstall?
