My power window on driver side will auto go down fine but its slow coming up. All 4 other windows are fine. Is my motor shot or can I just spray some wd-40 or something like it on the rails?

they use a real cheap cable system with a cable that is smaller then a pencil lead. they do get rusty and break, mine did on Friday. easy to replace. Cost anywhere from $39-$125. I went with a Dorman from Amazon. My last one lasted 5 years. you can try some spray lube on the rails, but I doubt that will fix your problem. replace it now before your 4hrs from home and have no tools with you to hold the window up.

And to add with what Robert already mentioned, if you replace the regulator setup be sure to remove the motor off of the old setup and before putting on the new setup run the window motor for about 10 - 15 seconds. It will kinda liven the motor up by getting it running past its old worn out spots which it never gets to really do when apart of the regulator assembly!

True story thanks guys. I will do that this weekend. Don't want to be hours away from home driving with the window all the way down in a snow storm. That would be my luck. Thanks again. Will post updates and will try to get pictures of it.

Replacing the window motor is easier if you replace it all at once with Motor and regulator together. Its an hour job tops, the longest part is taking off the door.
