Drivers side mirror shakes

Had the local dealership look at the shaking drivers side mirror. They said the servo motor in the mirror was bad and could only replace it as a total unit, $600 for a single unit, with turn arrow, power fold.
WOW, I ask about the warranty and they said it wasn't covered. So have you guys had this before? Can the servo motor be replaced from another mirror? I found a power mirror on ebay but no fold, no arrows for about $40. Just wondering if I could remove that motor and swap it into my mirror to get rid of the shakes?

they did a relearn procedure on it and it ok for now, they did it once before and it lasted a few days so i know I'll need to do something. It's definitely the glass shaking, not the mirror case.

If your under warranty I don't know why that wouldn't be covered. What year is it?

This may give you some more information but it was issued in late 06 for 07 vehicles. Scroll to the bottom. If you look just above under truck issues it also references this problem for 2007 - 2009.

Thanks, It's a 2007, I got the ceritfied used bumper to bumper warranty but according them, this is an item that isn't covered, huh.
They did a relearn and I'll see how it does, but if it comes back, I'm going to take the procedure you referenced to them and ask them to try that. I would do it myself, but I've never taken the mirror glass off and I'm a little concerned I'll break it.

Mine shook when I first got my Tahoe in 07 and it was covered under warranty. There also was a TSB out for this as well.
