drl and reverse on with unlock

Anyone know if you can make a 01 suburban drl and reverse come on with unlock like the 03+ tahoe and suburbans?

When you unlock tail lights and turn signals flash, but 03+ I have seen when they unlock the reverse and drl stay on until they start the car or after 30 second or a minute

Probably have to run a line ofF interior or puddle lights

This was an 03 and up deal... Different electronics - Perhaps like said above run off the puddle lights, but no - not an option you can 'turn on'

If the OP wants DRLs and reverse upon unlock, than running a line off interior or puddle will not work since they only come on with door open. Unless the interior lights come on with unlock.

If the OP has an aftermarket alarm that turns on the interior light for 30 secs (or so), he could run a line off of that. Just make sure to diode isolate all lines to prevent feedback.

If it is just the OEM fob flashing the lights, he could run a line off of the parking lamps with a 528t timer relay to the drls and reverse. The only problem with that is that everytime the auto lights come on, your timer relay will activate. Using the ignition wire for ground on the timer relay would eliminate most of that.
