Ran out of time. By the time I figured out how to pull out the air cleaner without breaking anything, the wife needed her ride back. Will try again next weekend. I've been working with a custom parts supplier to figure out the wiring - and I'm the first to give it a try. Pricing will be around $200 if it all tests out ok as is. Details coming soon...

Any updated on this?

Finally got it in - and it works! Will post pics and details in the coming days. Got the cable from http://www.gen5diy.com. Ask for Jarod, he helped me with purchase and install tips. I took a bunch of photos and will do a write up soon. Without stopping for photos, it would be about a 30 min job.

I saw this kit/cable...where exactly does it install? At or near the headlights? I assume it can be used with an HID kit installed?

Well as a follow up...I I stalled the Gen5DIY harness yesterday and it DOES NOT work if you have an aftermarket HID kit installed. I got it to work wiring everything back to stick lighting but w my HID kit and the harness the low beam lights never turned on...not even at night....not sure if the issue but def did not work for me...
