alright guys i have a 4 door 4x4 99 tahoe. i have 22x10 boss 330's with 305 40 r22 tires. im wanting to drop it maybe a 1 or so up front i was considering a torsion key kit to do it with and the rear i was told shackles would do just fine for the rear id like to get the rear end down maybe 2 inches if that i just want it dropped enough to get some finder well out of the picture and get her down a little more. is there any scrubbing issues i may have from lowering it up front? via turning ?

Well since it is a 4wd and the front wheels stick out more in the front you shouldnt have a problem with it hitting on the inside. But the good part about the keys is you can install them then drive the truck for a minute and see if it rubs any where. If it rubs you can crank them up some. Just play with the adjustment until you get the height where you want it and it doesn't rub. Make sure you drive it around some between adjustment to get the wheels to settle out. After you get it where you want it go get the alignment checked.

Just finished a 2 inch rear, 2.3 or so front lowering on my 4x4. We have almost exactly the same diameter tires...your are a bit wider. There is a ton of room on the inside though, so if your offset is close to mine, you should have lots of room.

Oh, sorry for double posting, but you will notice something funny when lowering these trucks via keys... The wheels actually push out in an anoying way. I lower all my 4x4 newer style vehicles, and the obs tahoe is the first I have seen that pushed the wheels out so crazy far with just a couple inches of drop.

I will be doing a custom wheel on mine, ordering with a more inset wheel to compensate for the way the wheel is pushed out. I would have felt bad if I didnt mention the way the wheels pushed out, just incase you already had a wheel space to your liking for outer lip to fender well relation. Your 22 inch wheels will push like 3/4 inch outwards per one inch drop you do on the keys.

i mentioned that on a few posts. This is way on the 22x9.5 6x5.5 euromax wheels i sell on the 4x4 trucks i have a 18mm offset for the rear and 38mm offset for the front. The lips are the same jsut the mounting pad is cut down more to suck the fronts in more.

yes the rims come in either 38mm offset or 18mm offset. Only difference is the 38mm offset has the 20mm cut more on the pad the lip is the same.
