During one of my many searches I remember seeing a member that did a 2/2 drop on a suburban, I think it was white like mine. The end result was the person saying instead of doing a 2/4 drop and adding a 1" spacer, they would go with a 2/2 drop and keep the rake for towing.

Anyway, it had some pics in it and I've searched but can't find it. Hoping someone else can and will.

Mine is a 2007 4wd and I plan to drop the rear 2" with belltech springs and 2" in the front with spindles. Currently on stock wheels, looking to get an idea about how it will look and how much it will actually drop it.

Sometimes a 2" drop is a little more or less.

Thanks guys.

The front will be exactly 2". Spindles are the best for 2" because it keeps very thing stock and only changes the hub location.

I fell like on the rear, I would still go with a 3/4 drop and then use the spacers to go back up. If you don't like the 2" drop, you'd have to buy all new springs, even to just go 1" lower

I had a 2/2 too.

It does have a bit of rake but it's useful for towing and hauling.

2/3 looks the best but does sacrifice towing and hauling.

Also getting a 3 or 4 inch spring and adding a spacer to it is not the same thing as having a 2 inch spring to begin with. The springs get inherently weaker as you go lower. That's how lowering works. Basically it's a shorter and / or a weaker spring.

My 2 inch spring were roughly the same length iirc as stock out of the car.

So where does the lower height come from? Less stout springs
