New to forum

New here to the forums. Was wondering if that setup would work on a 2001 tahoe, or would I have to get different parts

No worries dude these same parts will work on your 2001 tahoe. All the 2000-2006 gm 6-lug suvs have the same suspension for the most part. Shocks and autoride are the only issues you'll run into.

No worries. We're all here to help each other. Like Max said, all 00 to 06 tahoe, yukon, denali, escaldes are basically the same except for cosmetics. The plenty of different ways to lower your Tahoe. My suggestion would be to do some research into what exactly you want, and then find out how to get it. some people will do a 2/3 drop, 2/4, 3/5, or as low as you can go which is probably around 5/5 or so without going to full air ride suspension.

any body roll

ive lowered my caddy with 2" drop spindles and torsion keys in the front, had the rear springs replaced with smaller ones the spring shop recommended and adjusted the auto ride rods to get the proper desired height..... a little less proper then the way you lowered yours but when i hit high speeds i get uncontrollable body roll, almost unsafe to drive at high speed; any sugestion as to why i might be getting this problem if you have experienced it when lowering yours?

I experienced the same..and the back end would bounce so much, that it felt as if it were jumping off the ground when hitting large dips in the road at high speeds. Does this sound similar?


If so, check to see if your riding on your bump stops.

I've never felt a body roll like that... I lowered mine and then removed my bump stops like 4-5 days after. For those 4-5 days, I'd smack the bump stops all the time, but it still wasn't that bad. I've had my truck well over 100mph plenty of times and it's smooth...

Sorry I can't help much, but hope you get it fixed soon...

hey nathan, just curious what you measurements are ground to rear fenderlip with the current set up you got

About 31 1/2 inches bags fully deflated...

Where have you been hiding fool? Ever get those uca bushings installed or did you lose interest like me?

Never installed them. Kinda lost interest. Other things going on in life. Just had another kid (2 now) so had to get the wife a new van (Nissan Quest)

Still messin with the Esky, but I might be getting rid of it next week. Looking at a newer Porshe Cayenne ot Land Rover LR3. Haven't really put the truck up for sale, but everythings for sale for the right price...

My buddy just scooped a new cayenne turbo and the thing is just stupid fast, way nicer than the last generation turbo he had and they handle exceptionally well for a big suv...with no bloody knuckle mods necessary.
