Does anyone know of a kit to convert a YDXL from one battery to two? There is a tray for it on the opposite side, and I know I could buy long cables to connect them, but was wondering if there is a kit I could get rather than piece it together. Thanks!

Have you heard anything back on this topic? I'm looking to add a second battery in my tahoe as well. I've found a bunch of parts here an there that I could make work, but a kit would be nice.

Get a fused kit. Blue Sea makes dual battery kits that are great, most of them come with in-cab monitoring and completely isolate the batteries from each other. You can even use your aux battery to "jump start" your primary battery if you run it down. Pretty neat. I've been contemplating a dual batt setup for a while now.

unless your running dual independent alternators, your better off just running them in parallel. battery isolaters really hurt your alternators ability to charge your system.

the money is better spent on 2 nicer batteries (highly recommend xs power) that will last longer. and you could always get one of those portable jumping boxes for a worst case scenario.
