After a few searches, I am unable to come up with a dual battery system or kit for the 07 Yukon SLT. There is plenty of room in there for a 2nd battery and I would like to install one. Anyone have any insight?

Also, what Optima Yellow top can be installed in these? Looking on their site, it's not specified.

Thanks

I have a yellow top in mine. I'll look at the model number tomorrow.

I did a dual battery project back in April, and before this site existed. I placed it here: http://www.chevroletforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22289 Basically, it uses a Hellroaring battery isolator, and a Yellow Top battery. I got all of the wiring, and fuse holders at my local stereo shop. You don't need to use the GM kit. Total cost including the battery was about $425.00.

Note:The Hellroaring Isolator is perhaps the best solid state isolator available. It has essentially no forward voltage drop that's experienced in a diode isolator.

Here's the Bill of Materials:
Bill of Materials:
1 Hellroaring BIC-95150 Battery Isolator (includes misc. hardware)
1 Optima Yellow Top Battery
20' of 8 gauge hook-up wire
10 BIG ring lugs
bunch of black zip ties
enough corrugated wire loom to get around the engine bay
2 large, car stereo style fuse holders
2 60A fuses

Thanks for the info! When I get to work on this, I will take some photos and do a quick write-up.
