Dual exhaust

Hey guys, got a 01 yukon 4x4 SLT about 3 months ago and thinking of getting duals on it. I have read on the internet that it will increase HP slightly and give me better gas mileage. Can anyone tell me if this is accurate or not.

Its accurate if you get a Magnaflow, Corsa or maybe Borla exhaust. Not accurate for a Flowmaster though!

Yes, I graduated from Tech in the 90's. What am I looking at cost wise or is there a site where I can get this info? Where at in Texas r u?

I'm in Dallas Texas.
Cost wise I say you order a single offset inlet/dual outlet Magnaflow muffler online aong with two Magnaflow suv tips. Then take it to a local exhaust shop and get the rest done, should be looking at no more than $450 OTD with parts/labor.
The Magnaflow website has the part numbers, then type the numbers in on Google ot find them cheaper

Thanks Modded, I will look into this. I'm in the dallas area as well. We'll need to meet up sometime. I haven't done any mods yet and probably won't until next year sometime. I took the fender flares off two weeks ago and have to do some buffing around the fender wells and touch up painting. I want to get the front windows tinted and get a darker look on the windows. I guess limo tint on the very back and possibly the third row windows as well. This will be the first thing I get done next month. Thanks again.

true duals, you'll need new cats as well, I'd just do a good catback and call it good.

Don't want to sound clueless here but when you say a "good catback" what does that mean?

a catback exhaust. It replaces pretty much everything form the catalytic converter back to tailpipe.
