Serge, the (made for 5.3l) volant dual tip I had on the Tahoe is available in a larger diameter piping made for the 6.2. I remember someone on here a while back selling one actually.

I'd sell ya my Corsa tip but it's designed for side exit.

Thanks Felix, I'll try to find the one you're talking about.

Robbie, when you say 'side exit' do you mean like the one I had on the Hybrid?

Okay so I found the Volant one:http://volant.com/edetail.asp?ID=423

But I'm a little confused as it seems much longer than I need going by the picture I posted above. Does it require a resonator delete?

Yes that one requires the res to be deleted. To be honest that will look so much better and really isn't that loud with the res deleted. I did it on mine before the muffler and wasn't that loud.

Brent, the 5.3 without res is quieter than the 6.2 with res ... I'd really like to keep it as I like the exhaust tone as it is.

Yep and this is the exact reason that I didn't get the Volant dual tip on my Esky. I ended up getting the factory GM chrome tip so I could leave the resonator on.

So I bit the bullet and deleted the res and added the slp tip ... here's what it sounds like:

It's actually pretty much the same with or without the resonator, maybe just a tad bit louder especially on a cold start.

Glad I did it cause it looks sooooo much better.

Serge -- Is there ANY resonating inside the truck, at any speeds? I had a buzz in my Mustang back in the day right through a certain RPM range (due to the exhaust), and it drove me nuts.

The only time I can hear it slightly more inside the truck is if I accelerate aggressively through the gears ... cruising noise is the same as with the resonator.
