While i'm all for an alternator upgrade, upgrading the charging system wires (big 3) might be of help with less $$

If you want a H/O alternator, Alterstart in Dallas Texas has 160 amp models for under $150. I got a custom 200 amp version for my second truck and powered 1.5 million candlepower with of lights, a 800w sound system an MSD 6AL ignition system and still didn't break a sweat.
