Yes, that's what I meant. Interesting that your phone can use both at the same time, or are you using a separate tablet/phone for the MXP?
Newer Bluetooth versions can connect to multiple devices at the same time.
My phones a couple years old, a Galaxy S7, and connects to my Denali for hands-free and to the Torque app I use with my MX dongle plugged into rhe OBDII port.

My S4 Active is probably too old, who knows. Might be worth a try and if it doesn't work, a much-needed (anyway) phone upgrade. I just don't want to pack a tablet-sized phone around all day.

I miss my S4 Mini, became obsolete and had to upgrade.

Does the Torque app read SRS and ABS codes on your 2012?

I ask because I the BlueDriver app and it doesn't for 2012 GM. It reads them on my wife's 2015 Honda Accord though.

You can just keep an old phone or tablet in the car that's dedicated to show the Torque or OBDLink or whatever app you use. It doesn't need cell service.

Don't know, I've never had any of those codes to read yet. Actually, I've never had any codes on the 2012 in the year that I've owned it.

I use the OBDlink MX bluetooth adapter. It says it's supposed to read all the GM Canbus codes and stuff
