I recently updated to KMC XD Monsters 18x9 with a +18 offset. They sit just nearly flush with my Yukon.
I want them to stick out a little more. Would wheel spacers be a good option?
I've still got plenty of room for clearance... probably should have gone a little bigger tire.
I found these spacers on ebay, maybe not exactly these, but something like them.

if you go with 1.5 spacers you will need to cut the factory wheel studs, for the wheel adapter to mount flush with the hub.

to avoid the hassle you can run a spacer bigger than 1.75 and you will have the clearance.

Talk to the wheel shop and see if they will swap you with the -18 offset wheels. Or get a wheel spacer thats either 1.75 or 2" which will move them out pretty far from the fender line which may cause your front tires to scrub the bumper corners when turning.

they only offer those rims in +18 or -12. but I saw another yukon with the -12 and thought they might stick out to much.
So you think the 2 inch will be too much??

I just took a measuring tape and scoped out what 2 inch spacers would look like, and it's a little to much beef IMO. But I still would really like an inch of width.

Is there any way of getting an extra inch without doing any modifications to the studs, without getting wider tires...

I would be most concerned with the studs that come pressed into the cheap EBAY spacer. If I had to go that route, I would consider using the spacer and pressing in a good quality, name brand wheel stud. If the foreign maker of those spacers skimped on the heat treating, you could end up in a bad place (the ditch).

this may introduce rubbing in the wheel well. Turn you wheel about halfway to lock. the distance from the outer shoulder of the tire to inner wheel well will need to be bigger than the spacer you want to use, or it will rub.

Expect shorter balljoint life up front, since youre moving the wheel centerline further from the balljoints.

alright well I'm thinkin 2 inches might be a little overkill.

Does anyone know what the biggest I can go with a flat plate spacer.
I think I've read somewhere on here that a 1" spacer won't give you enough room on your studs to put your lugs back on.
If I go with somethin like a 5/8's spacer would that give you enough room for your lugs to go back on?

should have just gotten the right wheels to begin with. spacers are a bad idea all around. discount won't even touch your vehicle if you have them, or let you leave with the spacer still on.

if you had done a little more research you wouldn't have a problem. best bet is to figure out a way you can get the right offset wheels you want.

i run 1.5s all the way around plus im lowered 2/4!

dont use the 1.5 without cutting the factory studs. i had a shop cut all mines took about 1hr. plus torqued wheel spacers and wheel. It must be seated flush else the weight will transfer to the studs and break.

trust me i know from my 1st experience not sitting the hub flush. Now thats everything is installed correctly I had no worries, had roasted the tires, and hit speeds well over 100mph. its good, and I check things weekly.

Thanks guys. Personally I think I went with the offset that suited what I wanted. You can always go wider but if I would have gotten the -12 then there's no going less wide from that point. Personally as long as I'm getting a quality part, I don't think I'll have any problems.

I ended up getting four 2" 6 lug to 6 lug with a 74mm bore, so It will mount flush and center to my hub. Got them from a local shop that I've gone to quite a bit, I feel a little better with those then the ebay ones.

I'll post up pics later.
I'm throwin em on tomorrow
