Found one virtually brand new on Marketplace for $200. Normally about $500 new. Verified with Edge it was the correct model. Verified it was unlocked...bought it.
And have spent the last 2 days fighting to update it and program my Suburban. Boils down to Edge themselves. According to Edge Tech Support, all 2017 and newer Chevrolet trucks have a different file structure than the 2016 and older rigs.
Because of this new file structure, Edge doesn't support these vehicles with the #25350 programmer. They hide a $40 service charge. Supposedly this is reflected on their page. I haven't seen it yet. been looking.
They want $40 to rewrite my CS2 to be 2017 Suburban specific. I'm going to pay it, but am irked. Highly. Pretty sure my 2017 Suburban runs the exact same setup that my 2015 Tahoe did. I even asked the Edge Tech. He stated that the 2015/2016 are different. The $40 is to cover efforts/fees for Edge to tune the newer style.
Anyone know anything about this bull? Edge has the absolute worst product support and web page that I've ever dealt with. Really makes me wish I could use SCT products. Never had issues like this.
P.S. can't pay Edge $40 yet because their Fusion software system is down. And they don't intend to correct the issue until maybe Monday (July 8th) because they're taking a 4 day weekend. Won't answer e-mails, phones turned off until after 1:00 PM, Messages are read but not answer...Excellent customer support.
