in the next month or 2, i was hoping to buy sway bars and possibly lower my Tahoe... i was looking at the heibach pro kit, which has the bars and 3" drop springs, and is cheaper than just the bars from hotchkis... i converted the measurements and found that the hotchkis front bar is 1mm thicker than the eibach, but the hotchkis rear is 2mm thinner than the eibach... any recommendations?

I'm glad you ask this question. I've been looking at sway bars as well. I'm leaning towered eibach. I would want a more solid bar in the rear but what the hell do I know. Eibach makes a sway bar kit I think it's part# 3882.320

I have the hotchkis bars and have had no issues in the time I've had them. I like the fact the rears are designed to sit horizontal with the ground on lowered trucks. I hate seeing trucks with the sway bar pointing toward the ground. I don't think the size difference is that much and I like how my bars feel. Just my 2 cents.

Love my eibachs, truck handles much better and is easier to walk out around corners now.

the lowering (at the moment) isnt my main interest. how well do sway bars effect the car at stock ride height?

Sway bars will help lifted, stock, or lowered applications as they increase torsional rigidity of the chassis. You'll notice a great difference in a stock vehicle.

so theyll help either way? thats good. but i noticed with hotchkis, there is a difference between sway bars for the stock height and bars for lowered applications? so if i wanted to lower the car later, id have to buy new bars? is it the same with eibach?

the hotchkis have a bend at the ends to help with positioning on lowered vs stock. you want the bar ends as parallel to the ground as possible. that is what sets the torsional load at neutral. if you are lowered and use stock height bars you'll need different end links to help you out. i noticed a huge difference on my suburban that is even more ass heavy than a tahoe. on sharp turns and quick changes it recovers better and body roll is drastically reduced
