So i have been threw 3 batteries im thinking my issue is not that new battery will last for about one month then dead. I jump it and it starts right up And drives fine but when i shut the truck off its totally dead. I thought it was my system draining the battery but unplugged that and its still dead. Tested out alternator and it passes the test . I am thinking about getting the 140 amp alternator just to upgrade but anybody have any idea what my issue can be? I have no other electrical mods. Someone was telling me it can be a grounding issue. Last thing i did start the truck up then unplugged battery and it stayed running. Some one please help! I have a 98 tahoe 2 door with body lift.

That's a little strange. With a bad battery connection it should shut off.
Make sure you batter connections are tight. Should be but rule it out.
Have a 96 pickup the tabs on the cable dug out the battery connection and kept the bolt from holding the cable tight. Would start and run fine, then just shut off.
A washer between the bolt and cable fixed that.

Also check the starter connections, along with alternator connections.

Then check/clean every ground you can find.

From their pull the negative cable and use a test light or multimeter. One end on the battery the other on the cable.
Should light up. (that's bad) You do have a constant draw anyway (radio memory etc..)
But pull a fuse, does the light go out or get real real dim?
If not, put the fuse back in pull the next. When the light goes out or gets dim, that is the system you need to look at.
Something is drawing power killing the battery.

good glad you found it. I was going to say that if aftermarket accessory was added check to see where the remote or power was tapped into. Ive seen that happen many times where somebody tapped into something that does not turn off power with the ignition.
