so a little update. Not sure if i can say fixed as I still have to replace wheel bearing before road testing it. But my new PCM arrived Monday, so i installed it. I hooked up battery and turned key and all warnings were off minus the check engine light. she started right up and even had the line under P letting you know what gear it was in. which was off before. I am hoping this was cause of all the issues but will still need to be determined after a short drive.

Yes it was the one under 2nd battery tray on drivers side front of engine compartment. I found a guy on ebay that sold them. I paid 104 dollars and after I bought it. I sent him my vin# and he flashed com with latest GM software and with my vin#. I plugged it in and it didnt even need to relearn. Like I said I havent got to drive it yet. But all messages were off stabiltrak and park assist and what not. Once I change bearing and take it for a short drive I will know more.

update. replaced wheel bearing saturday and took for test drive. all check engine lights and warnings of stabiltrak and abs were off as well as park assist. shifted normal as it was before as I am tackling the trans pressure switch films this weekend. drove yesterday and today to work no issues. looks like new pcm did the trick.

new issue we noticed last night that was not there before. My wife went to open her mirror light in visor and when she opened it, no light came on and the button lights around radio and temp controls went off. they came back on when she closed it. does same with map light. those seem to be only lights affected. all other lights work normal. my steering wheel control lights seem dimmer and arent bright. but it is just odd. after swapping pcm the truck has run great with no issues except for what was there before all this other stuff. do i need to do a relearn procedure on my bcm? the pcm was reprogrammed with my vin # so i didnt think that would effect the bcm.if anyone has heard of this please let me know

When my daughter inadvertantly drained the battery one night, when we got the jump, the interior lights were really bright, even the navigation and that set off an internal trouble code. This went away when the truck was shut off and restarted and I later cleared the code.

You should not need to reflash the BCM but do check for BCM codes.

ok cool. I am still trying to come to terms with spending the money on a tech2 scanner. it is just weird. new battery and full charge. but if you open mirror the light doesnt come on and the lights around radio go off. all the buttons and what not. and it is only the visor and the overhead map light buttons that do it
