engine bucked,then popped threw intake??

Today in stop and go traffic at 104 degrees outside temp my 2000 gmc yukon xl 5.3 did something for the first time,it bucked and almost stalled then came out of that....About twenty miles later it popped three or four times threw the throttle body on acceleration from 10mph-30 and then came out of that.....All the fluids are up,gauges all were good,running about 220 which is on the hotter side for the ole girl....
Everything seemed ok for the remainder of the trip but I am a little concerned just the same.
I did put a bottle of chevron in with the fill up before heading out.....
Any help/direction would be appreciated..
