I have a 07 Yukon SLE.

Sometimes when I start the engine (either with key or with fob) the engine cranks too long, like 5 seconds. The engine starts right away, but the starter stays engaged about 3 seconds too long. :(

I brought it to GM and they had a tech document that showed it was a know issue for 07 and 08 models, but the doc says that it is fine and no service is required.

First of all, it sounds like crap when it happens, people look at you like your an idiot. Second, this can't be good for the engine or starter? Third, can this eventually cause a problem?

Anyone else experience this?
